Harry Potter and the Pirate Bay

Wednesday, July 18th, 2007

I’m not the best fan of the Harry Potter books, but I couldn’t help but notice the fact that the final book (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) is available on the Pirate Bay. After glancing through it, i’m not sure what amuses me more, the supposed $20 million that Bloomsbury Publishing spent on keeping the final book secret, or the fact that the person who got hold of the book has taken individual photos of 392 pages. In true pirate style, some of the pages also have a few fingers included.

The last word is “well”, not scar. I wasn’t aware that J.K. Rowling changed her mind on it either, not such a big deal I suppose.

Northern Europe Trip

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007

The rough planning for the Northern Europe trip is finally finished, the destinations are currently: Dieppe, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Groningen, Odense, Copenhaven, Stockholm, Turku, Helsinki, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw, Berlin. All in 22 days. Going to be much fun, although quite a rush, especially when we realise we only have a day left on the ticket to get home.

Still need to book some ferrys and get an interrail ticket yet.
I’m quite glad we decided on travelling through the baltic states. Although they will all be by bus, as the train networks there aren’t fully established, i’m still looking forward to it.
